We are currently recruiting for Transport Planning Summer Students to join our team in our Newcastle office. This is an excellent opportunity for a student that is enthusiastic and knowledgeable about transport planning to join a multi-disciplinary team this summer. Start and end dates can be flexible depending on the candidate's requirements.

You will provide support to team members to deliver an effective and professional service to our clients on strategically won projects. You will assist in preparing designs in co-ordination with the team, and gain a thorough understanding of the role of a design engineer by using relevant software and seeing first-hand how we operate.

Depending on performance, there may be an opportunity to receive a permanent offer of employment upon graduating.


  • Strong A-levels (or equivalent)
  • Studying a relevant degree, such as Civil Engineering or Transport Planning
  • Preference may be given to students studying for a Masters qualification
  • On track to achieve a 2.1 or above, as proven through the modules that you have completed to date
  • Graduating in summer 2019 or 2020
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate strong motivation and passion for a career in Transport Planning
