Arup Programme and Project Management teams provide professional services across a wide range of strategic and complex projects in many sectors including Energy & Utilities, Commercial, Technology, Science, Healthcare, Industrial, Rail, Property, Aviation and Infrastructure. Some of the professional services we deliver to our clients include Programme and Project management, PMO and Project controls, Risk and Change management, Due Diligence and development of Business Strategy. Whether its construction related, or business strategy related, we provide our clients with solutions to their complex requirements which we meet through the successful delivery of our projects and programmes.
Our 500 programme and project managers are based in 24 countries across the global Arup network and come from a variety of backgrounds with a range of professional qualifications across engineering, design, project management, business management, architecture, construction management and cost management. Our multi-disciplinary approach to programme and project management ensures we consistently deliver a high-calibre, tailored service to each of our clients.
Are you interested in a career in Programme and Project Management?
We are currently looking to recruit summer placement students to join our Project Management team. This is an excellent opportunity for a student that is enthusiastic and keen to develop their knowledge in Programme and Project Management to join our multi-disciplinary team for 6-8 weeks in the summer (2023).
You will provide support to team members to deliver an effective and professional service to our clients on strategically important projects, including:
- Support the programme and project management team in delivering to our clients
- Assist with the day-to-day tasks involved in the management of projects
- Coordinate between members of various disciplines and departments
- Gain exposure to the various aspects of programme and project management
What are we looking for?
- Either currently undertaking a Master's or Bachelor's or recently graduated
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Possess a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Understanding of data management, visualisations and / or digital tools would be desirable, but not essential.
- Demonstrate a creative approach to problem solving and an aptitude to work on your own initiative and be proactive.
Arup Summer Internship opportunities typically run for 6-8 weeks. You must be available to start on the opportunity during Summer 2023 and commit to completing the programme in full.
