We are an independent firm of designers, planners, engineers, consultants and technical specialists offering a broad range of professional services. Through our work, we make a positive difference in the world. As a wholly independent organisation, we are owned in trust for the benefit of our employees and their dependants, with no shareholders or external investors to determine our own business priorities and direction.
Arup's Protective Intelligence specialists have advised on malicious risks to some of the world's leading buildings and infrastructure projects.
Our Resilience, Security and Risk practice has consistently been at the forefront of the field since it was formed in the mid-1990s. The practice brings together threat and risk specialists, physical and electronic security engineers, strategic operational security specialists, business continuity practitioners and blast engineers in a unique multi-disciplinary environment, helping our clients manage malicious risk, natural hazards and operational reliability in each aspect of their businesses and operations.
Our Protective Intelligence team analyses the nature and scale of terrorism, civil unrest, crime and other malicious risks in urban environments worldwide. Actionable intelligence on threats has a vital role to play in informing the design of buildings, transport infrastructure, bridges and stadia. We work close with our teams in Blast Resilience and Security Engineering in North America, Australasia, Europe and the Middle East. Our intelligence enables businesses that underwrite, construct and operate cities to become more resilient in an evolving threat environment.
As an Industrial Trainee your role will be to collect and analyse open source intelligence on malicious risks. You will structure and analyse relevant intelligence data using Excel or other data manipulation tools.
