Are you ready to shape the future of transport and technology? Join Arup's Assets Consulting team and help deliver smarter, more sustainable infrastructure across Ireland and beyond.
As part of our Advisory and Digital Services group, the Assets Consulting team supports clients in achieving their operational and strategic goals - primarily in the transport sector - by harnessing the power of digital technology. We help develop strategies, planning, design, implementation, while also supporting clients in the management of maintenance contracts relating to transportation and digital technology.
Our team of around 35 specialists includes civil and electronic engineers, software and web developers, technical project managers, and transport advisors. Together, we design and deliver innovative solutions that improve lives and reduce environmental impact. You'll be joining a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment where your ideas and curiosity will be valued from day one.
Based in Arup Ireland's 100-person Advisory and Digital Services group, we collaborate with clients across Ireland and internationally, bringing deep technical expertise and a passion for solving complex challenges.
Intelligent Mobility
Step into the future of transport with Arup's Intelligent Mobility team. We're redefining how people and goods move through cities and regions - making mobility smarter, cleaner, and more inclusive.
Our team works across the full lifecycle of transport assets, supporting clients with strategy development, implementation, and data-driven decision-making. We tackle challenges in Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), Tolling, Road User Charging, Smart Cities, traffic signal design, C-ITS, and Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CAVs). We also advise on pricing and payments, data sharing platforms, future mobility planning, and electromobility.
As a graduate, you'll be part of a dynamic team that blends engineering, technology, and human-centred design. You'll work on real projects from day one, helping clients make sense of complex data and deliver impactful transport solutions that shape communities and improve lives.
As an Intelligent Mobility graduate at Arup, you will:
You'll work alongside experts in engineering, technology, and transport strategy to deliver innovative solutions that make mobility smarter, more sustainable, and more inclusive, including:
- Help translate technical recommendations into real-world transport solutions and project deliverables.
- Support clients in applying digital tools and systems to improve transport operations and tackle complex challenges.
- Conduct research and analysis to develop, document, and present concepts and design ideas that push boundaries.
- Review project documentation, codes, and standards to support the preparation of reports, presentations, drawings, and sketches.
- Compile and interpret data to help clients make informed, strategic choices.
- Keep up with emerging technologies that could unlock new opportunities for clients.
- Assist clients in managing technology operations contracts and ensuring smooth implementation.

- A demonstrated interest in one or more of the areas of work related to Intelligent Mobility
- Ability to work as part of a team, prioritise effectively, balance assigned work and deliver to deadlines.
- Experience of producing technical reports and presentations
- Knowledge or interest in transport technology, such as road user charging, traffic signal design, traffic modelling or ITS.
- Ability to engage with clients and partners in the development of project requirements.
- Adaptable with an interest to learn on the job.
- Strong professional acumen and work ethic.
- Capable of working as part of a team as well as independently, across multiple projects.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
