Flood Risk Management

Restoration of the water environment and construction of flood alleviation schemes relies on the analysis and understanding of catchment and river systems and their impacts on society. We model these systems and make predictions about their behaviour to develop designs, and make the business cases for their funding that will ultimately get them built.

Key areas we work in include: catchment science and management, dams and reservoirs engineering, flood risk management, natural flood management, asset management, and climate change studies.
