Arup is a global consultancy with advisory and technical expertise across more than 150 disciplines. We guide, plan and design the future of the built environment. Globally, each year we recruit hundreds of graduates to help us see things differently and solve the most complex challenges facing our clients, climate and communities.

A career in any of our UK Bridge and Civils Structures teams provides an exciting and rewarding environment in which to work and develop. We are a truly diverse company collaborating on and delivering a vast range of projects, of all scales, across the transport, renewable energy and water businesses, throughout the UK and across the globe. We support our clients' and solve their challenges as they transition to a net-zero economy and address the impacts of climate change, delivering sustainable design and asset life extension for the full range of civil engineering structures, bridges and tunnels and we are a driving force behind many major infrastructure projects. Our projects transform and greatly improve daily lives, from new build designs which complement their environments through to the strengthening of existing assets to sustainably extend their life.

We have a wide portfolio of exciting UK and International projects working in the transport, energy and water sectors.  Our Clients include Government Agencies, Local Authorities, Contractors and Developers.  We undertake every aspect of bridge design, assessment, construction planning and structural health monitoring from pedestrian bridges through to long span cable supported bridges on projects such as the New Wear Footbridge, Gull Wing Bridge, Forth Bridge, Transpennine Rail Upgrade and High Speed 2.  We undertake the design and construction planning of tunnel shafts and portals, cut and cover tunnels, underground pumping stations and offshore wind platforms.  A career in the Arup Bridges and Civil Structures teams affords opportunities to directly influence and solve a range of challenging problems in a diverse range of environments.
