The Opportunity

The Building Services Building Information Modelling (BIM) team is at the centre of excellence within Arup for producing exemplary design drawings and 3D models within a BIM environment to exacting standards. This team are undergoing continuing growth and development as it continues to win major work in the industrial, education and commercial sectors.
The BIM team continue to implement and develop our integrated building information modelling service (BIM) delivery in order to better serve our clients while continuing to drive improvements in our design quality and remain at the cutting edge of the market. If successful you will support the BIM team and Engineers with collaborative production, management, sharing and exchange of all information and data during the delivery phases of building projects.
You will be joining a technical delivery team with a varied and potentially challenging workload. Day to day tasks will include BIM development for information and asset management, data manipulation and visualisation, and automation. You will have the opportunity to use 2D and 3D data developing your core BIM, Modelling Software and specific developer skills like for example web or apps development and configuration.
Is this role right for you?
For this opportunity, we are seeking the following qualifications, skills and attributes:
- Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Engineering, with a bias towards Design Engineering and/or a Master's degree in Building Information Management
- Ability to draw in 2D and 3D software
- Knowledge of BS EN ISO 19650 suite of documents
- Good technical expertise and a sound comprehension of data management, scripting, and visualisation work
- Ability to manage own work, good communication skills, effectively translate technical language to the language of business, strong problem-solving skills, interest in working with clients
- Experience in producing federated models and conductive design reviews would be beneficial
- Understanding and aptitude for creating component automation, using programming applications would be beneficial
- Experience in project modelling using multiple CAD applications
- Skills in producing federated models and conductive design reviews
- Experience using back-end programmes, Revit Family Creation, programming ie dynamo, python.
