The Opportunity
Architecture has been an integral part of Arup for over 50 years. Our reputation was built on designing buildings that were at the forefront of innovation, sustainability and people-centred design. We are looking for people who would like to join our community of Architects in a mission to Shape a Better World. We continue to design buildings that are simple, purposeful, efficient and beautiful, that are technologically advanced and sensitive to environmental and human needs in line with Ove Arup's vision for ‘Total Architecture'. Our projects span various sectors, including transport, sport, science and industry, commercial buildings, and social infrastructure and we work closely with Arup's unparalleled range of engineers and specialists to create the most beneficial outcome for our clients, for society and for the planet.
You will join a vibrant, diverse, multidisciplinary office. Working within an amazing architectural team, you will provide strong technical design and deliver a coordinated design as part of a wide a multidisciplinary team through all stages of project development in a range of “Total Architecture”.

Our projects are focused in the Science, Industry and Technology sector with specialisation in Data Centre design. We work closely with Arup's unparalleled range of engineers and specialists to create the most beneficial outcome for our clients, for society and for the planet.
Research is central to our culture and we offer our staff the opportunity to undertake short or long-term assignments to other regions and. Arup University and our Foresight and Innovation team allow us to differentiate our services and encourage individuals to follow their passions in their work. Our teams have access to state-of-the-art digital tools, and the flexibility to work from home for up to 3 days each week – we are committed to providing the highest quality services to our clients whilst also championing wellbeing for all members of our team.
Is this role right for you?
For this opportunity, we are seeking the following qualifications, skills and attributes:
- Degree in Architecture and courses which are RIBA Part 2 accredited, graduated or graduating in 2023
- Masters in Architecture or equivalent
- Demonstrates technical design flair with both creative and analytical skills, 3d thinking and ability to draw by hand alongside knowledge of relevant design and visualisation software applications
- Highly motivated, proactive with a passion for learning new skills in a fast-paced multi-disciplinary environment. Communicative, Curious, Collaborative, Conceptual Thinker, Collegiate with excellent planning and organization skills
- Interested in sustainability and climate change resilience
- English speaking
- Experience of using Revit is required
