We're currently looking for a Summer Placement to join our existing Digital Insight team in London for 6-8 weeks starting in June or July 2019.
You will have the drive to excel as a digital designer and enjoy the challenges and the satisfaction that accompany success. The role will be to assist the Arup Digital Insight team, working closely with our existing team of user researchers, user interface/interaction designers, web developers, and product managers. You will help with an expanding workload and will offer complementary and new skills to growing the area of user-centred design in Arup's London Digital Team.
What will Arup offer you?
The opportunity to experience a fast-paced and diverse working environment. Arup searches for the highest calibre people and supports and encourages the enhancement of your skills as part of making this a valuable and enjoyable summer placement for you.

You should be an innovative problem solver, someone who thinks ‘outside the box' and who is able to communicate ideas and solutions. You should have a positive and forward-thinking approach and enjoy working as part of a friendly and supportive team. Workload will be diverse and the ability to multi-task and manage your workload is important.
An enquiring mind is key to our approach, as we work across numerous diverse contexts. You will be able to assimilate such new contexts rapidly, and to use various design techniques to help make sense of them, for colleagues, clients and collaborators.
You should be a well-rounded person in terms of interests and ambitions as we look forward to you getting involved and becoming integrated into the Arup community during your summer placement with us.
You will have a strong academic background or demonstrated work experience in digital design. You should have a portfolio of work that demonstrates your ability to think critically, create, and test digital designs.
