About the role 

We're currently looking for a Landscape Technician Apprentice to join our Bristol team.

You will be working alongside a community of experts, who will support and nurture your growth from the outset. In return, you'll help us develop proposals in both natural and built environments across a wide range of sectors for varied clients. 

While Apprentices are given responsibility from day one, we'll give you the opportunity to learn, progress and broaden your skills.  The Arup portfolio is exciting and diverse, exposing our Apprentices to a range of project scales and types, each offering their own opportunity for personal development. In addition to working with our placemaking team you will be given the opportunity to support other disciplines across the company.

With the primary responsibility to support your senior team, your typical day to day responsibilities could include;

  • Preparation of drawings, documents, graphics and illustrations
  • Using Computer Aided Design (CAD), 3D modelling, other drafting software packages, and traditional hand drawing methods
  • Site surveys and site investigations
  • Contributing to planning applications and other regulatory procedures
  • Preparation of detailed specifications for hard and soft landscape materials

About you

If you have an interest in producing high quality technical and visual outputs with passion, personal drive and eagerness to assist in delivering excellent services for clients, we'd like to hear from you.

We're looking for the following qualifications, attributes and skills. You will need at least one of the following:

  • Successful completion of a Level 2 apprenticeship in a relevant discipline OR
  • Five GCSEs, including English and Maths, which are equivalent to GCSE grade 4 and above (C and above)
