Description

Mark will discuss his role leading global multi-disciplinary projects, including the pleasure and challenges of learning on your feet whilst being well supported by our vast knowledge base. He’ll share how these factors directed and shaped his career to where he is today!

Mark Bowers is an Associate within our Specialist Technology & Research team in London having previously led the materials business in the Americas. Mark also sits on the Arup University Exec for the region as knowledge leader, looking to understand how we use our knowledge to deliver projects of quality and win work effectively. Mark has worked on projects of all scales from new builds through to refurbishment and remediation. Project highlights include leading the seismic design of the unique and large roof structure at Mexico City Airport and project managing the now cancelled New York Wheel. Mark also leads a number of our research programmes, primarily around innovative materials and methods, most recently looking at Arup’s use of digital fabrication and how we can be instrumental in the scale up of these technologies in the built environment.

Please note you will be able to join and ask question anonymously. You can also send us your questions ahead of the event. Please do this by emailing UKIMEATalent@arup.com and including ‘Live Q&A Mark Bowers’ in the subject field.
